We’ve all read something or heard out of the mouth of someone some thing that just resonates with us. In our mind, or out of our mouth, we say, “Yes! Isn’t that the truth”!

On Facebook, it may be something that we just HAVE to share. if we’re a story teller, it’s a tale we must tell someone. If we write, we may want to jot it down in our journal. Truths are of God. The Bible says that “Jesus is the way, the TRUTH and the life. When we hear truths, we hear His voice and we should heed and follow them.  Here are just a few truths. There are so many more but here’s a taste of truth.

Here are a few truths to live by:

1. When we do not obey God, he will raise up a heathen power to judge us.
Matthew 5:13.

Lesson- Obey God or someone unflattering will take over.

2. God’s Word is the authority in our lives. If we do not follow His Word, Humanism takes over and man’s laws are instilled instead of God’s. Man’s laws will fail and we with them. Matthew 24:35- “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall no pass away”.

Lesson- Stand up for God’s laws no matter the cost.
3. We are accountable only unto God and for every thought, word and deed. Romans 1:18- “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold the truth in unrighteousness.”

Lesson- God is going to hold each one of us accountable unto Him so we must do His work, will and way.

4. Just because a person says “I’m sorry” does not constitute the other person has been un-injured. Often, it takes a person time to forgive and even time to determine the person who injured “meant” that contrite position. Numbers 13:31 (Giants in the land… Hurting another is a “giant in the land”. Only God’s power can overcome such a power.).

When we’ve injured someone, it may take time to prove our true contrite position. It may take “showing” the person rather than just telling the person, “I’m sorry”. True love in forgiveness is a must on both sides of the issue but certainly for the offender.

5. If you use a credit card, you’re more than likely going to get in debt. The Holy Scripture is clear- “Owe no man anything but to love him”.

Do NOT use a credit card. Pay cash or reap the consequences of poor judgement.

Truths are actions and behaviors that we know and must live by.  Let’s follow through and live for God and His truths.
