So, in order for this blog post to make sense, you must have already completed challenge 1, and challenge 2 and you’re ready for challenge and mission# 3.
You have your computer set, workspace ready to go, journals begging for information, blog date written, server or website joined and you’re now ready to set up your website for blogging.
First things First- You’ve already named your blog but have you bought your domain name. In other words, you may have named your blog “chicksdownsouth.blogger.com but did you actually buy the name “chicksdownsouth”.com?
If you have not bought your actual domain name, do this now. That way, when people type in your actual website name in a URL, they will come to the name on your site. For example, when one types in http://www.chicksdownsouth.com, they come to this site because we have purchased the name “chicksdownsouth”.
To buy a domain name, you must buy it from a service provider that sells domain names.
We recommend the following:
GoDaddy
eNom
HostGator
Buy your domain name today. It should cost you less than $14 a year.
