The great King Saul was one whom God used to transfer power from a tribal reign where judges and prophets ruled to a king’s power. Saul ruled as the first King of Israel for some 40 years. The Spirit of God was with him until his rebellion. After Saul rebelled against God, he was tormented by evil spirits. God removed His hand from Saul after he rebelled and as a result, his kingdom was taken from him and given to “a man after God’s own heart, David”. 1 Samuel 15:28

The great Apostle Paul was a murderer and according to his own words, “Chief among sinners”. Bob Diffinbaugh wrote of Paul: …he was a” ringleader of the movement to make Christianity extinct.” Paul persecuted Christians day and night. One day, Paul was blinded on the road to Damascus and there he met the Lord and served the Lord all of the rest of his days. Before being a person of faith he was a murderer, liar, and evil one but after knowing the one who created him, he went about doing good. Acts 7:58

Lee Strobel received a journalism degree from University Missouri and got a degree from Yale Law School. He became a journalist for The Chicago Tribune. Strobel was an “avowed” atheist but because of his wife’s conversion to Christianity, he felt compelled to delve into the Bible to understand. The outcome was his best-selling books “ The Case for Christ”, The Case for Faith,The Case for a Creator, The Case for the Real Jesus” and The Case for Christianity Answer Book. The book that strikes me most is “The Case for the Real Jesus” because I notice a lot of people who claim Jesus but live life the devil. The real Jesus is who saved Lee Strobel after his search. “Draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh to you”. James 4: 8 If you will really draw nigh to God you can meet the real Jesus and you’ll never be the same.

In June of 1980, People magazine published an article “The Son of Athiest Leader Madalyn Murray O’hair Turns Away from Mother- to God. One of his statements was so simple: “For a long time now I have felt like a man with a deep, dark secret: I have believed in God.” It was his mother who helped outlaw prayer in public schools and assisted in the development of the American Athiest Center. About his mother putting him on legal documents as a plaintiff he later wrote in letters to an Austin, Texas newspaper: “The part I played as a teenager in removing prayer from public schools was criminal”. William J. Murray went on to say: “I swear on the altar of God that I will strive to right this wrong that I have done”.

According to Murray, his mother was tyrannical and cruel throughout his life. He was quoted as saying“his mother’s reputation had been a millstone”. (People Magazine) Through a turn of events he lost his family and became an alcoholic. It was during the AA meeting that he saw people of faith make strides and see change with their addictions. An online report wrote that it was then that he began to really seek God.

His mother, is best known for the Murray v Curlett lawsuit, which led to a landmark Supreme Court ruling ending official Bible-reading in American public schools in 1963. Life referred to her in 1964 as “the most hated woman in America”.

When I think of how Madalyn Murry O’hair , her activist son, Jon, and granddaughter Robin, were killed, I’m reminded of the prophesy in the Bible of Elijah denouncing the wicked Ahab and Jezebel: “Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who is in Samaria; behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth where he has gone down to take possession of it. 19″You shall speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD, “Have you murdered and also taken possession?”‘ And you shall speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD, “In the place where the dogs licked up the blood of Naboth the dogs will lick up your blood, even yours.”   “Ahab said to Elijah, “Have you found me, O my enemy?” And he answered, “I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do evil in the sight of the LORD.”

Indeed, Jezebel was thrown out of a window and was met with horses. Then the dogs, licked her blood, just as the prophet said.

And he said, “This is the word of the Lord, which He spoke by His servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, ‘On the plot of ground at Jezreel dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel;[a] 37 and the corpse of Jezebel shall be as refuse on the surface of the field, in the plot at Jezreel, so that they shall not say, “Here lies Jezebel.”

In 1995 Madalyn Murray O’hair, her son Jon and granddaughter, Robin were kidnapped and disappeared. They were killed by a convicted felon. In 2001 their killer, David Waters took law enforcement to their bodies. Reports indicated the bodies were mutilated including the missing of head, and hands.

Did God take his umbrella of protection off of their lives for their rebellion? Eternity will tell. And, eternity will tell how God responds to those on the Supreme Court who rebelled against God’s Word to remove the Bible from public schools.  God’s Word, the Bible is God’s revelation to man.

Clarence Larkin published his work, “Rightly Dividing The Word“,  about the Holy Word of God, the Bible he wrote: “The Holy Scriptures are not a systematic treatise on theology, history, science or any other topic. They are a revelation from God and His plan and purpose in the ages as to the earth and the human race.”

The reason we need Supreme Court Justices with faith in the One True and Living God is because it is by Him alone that we can prosper. There is nothing that the government without God can offer. Only by God’s sovereign will can our country survive and thus, we are desperate for those who truly know Him and are willing to live out and practice His Word, the Bible.

While the Constitution of the United States is important and valuable, it is by the Word of God that man must live. ”  But he answered and said, It is. written, Man shall not live by. bread alone, but by every word that. proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”   Matthew 4:4. God’s Word, the Bible is what proceeds out of the mouth of God.

If you’re a person struggling to know God, please consider the scriptures below:

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

Jesus

Proverbs 3:5-8
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

James 1:5-8

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Hebrews 11:1-40
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts. And through his faith, though he died, he still speaks. By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God. …”

A Psalm of David

1. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; [so] shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while, and the wicked [shall] not [be]: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it [shall] not [be].
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, [and] to slay such as be of upright conversation.
15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
16 A little that a righteous man hath [is] better than the riches of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.
18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD [shall be] as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
22 For [such as be] blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and [they that be] cursed of him shall be cut off.
23 The steps of a [good] man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth [him with] his hand.
25 I have been young, and [now] am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26 [He is] ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed [is] blessed.
27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
31 The law of his God [is] in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
34 Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see [it].
35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he [was] not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 Mark the perfect [man], and behold the upright: for the end of [that] man [is] peace.
38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
39 But the salvation of the righteous [is] of the LORD: [he is] their strength in the time of trouble.
40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
The face of the LORD is against evildoers, To cut off the memory of them from the earth. Psalm 34:16

Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster And does not retract His words, But will arise against the house of evildoers And against the help of the workers of iniquity. Isaiah 31:2

‘Moreover, you shall not follow the customs of the nation which I will drive out before you, for they did all these things, and therefore I have abhorred them. Lev 20:23

You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. 1 Cor 10:21
Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. 1 Timothy 9: 1-11

A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.Proverbs 6: 12:16

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil.Eccle 12:14

Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. Psalm 34:24
And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all [men] have not faith. 2 Thes 3:2

Have mercy on those who doubt;
Jude 1:22
