As a new parent, I am always looking for the next big thing. The item or gadget that will make my life easier is on my mind.  Having no experience, I only know what I try. That being said, sleep is super important when it comes to a child’s behavior. I’ve learned this to be true!

At a young age our children have no concept of time other than light and darkness. This is where a repetitious and consistent schedule come in handy. There are times too that we cannot keep up with our schedule.  So,  because of that, do I ever have the solution for you my friend -a toddler alarm clock.

The baby market has been flooded with them but for good reason. After doing a little homework, I found they have several different features. Some even help with discipline (timeout). How would you like not to be the bad guy but the clock take the heat for the long “nap time” or “timeout”?

Here are my top 3 children alarm clocks

  1. My Tot Clock – This fantastic clock teaches your child when to wake  or sleep with a wonderful color feature (blue to sleep – yellow to wake). It also plays lullabies, bedtime stories, music, and white noise. It even has a timeout feature (so you’re not the bad guy – it’s the clocks fault) There is also a time-manager setting.  This feature is awesome when trying to potty train or trying to build a positive activity.
  2. Teach me time – Adorable talking alarm clock. Dual colored nightlight all in one. Teach me time games. ‘Will need manual to set but this clock has a very simple design and one your kids won’t grow out of. Another great feature is that you can set this clock to display analog or the numeric times or both.
  3. Ok To Wake Alarm Clock – This is a separate “nap timer” that does not disrupt your already set night time alarms and night-light setting. A fun button allows funny facial animations on the front face. This clock does not teach time or talk like some of the others. If you are looking for something without cords this is the clock for you (only battery-powered).

I suggest purchasing one of these clocks right away and start living a life of ease. Children really do like schedules. This will help everyone in the house stay on the same track and without the fuss.
