Let’s take it back to the old school, before Fisher-Price built all of these 10 battery required toys. Cha Ching! $$$$ Breakout the good old pots and pans. This will teach your little one cause and effect. He will quickly learn that his actions cause the noise. This will also help with his upper body strength, hand-eye coordination and develop “some” kind of musical depth.
You might want to use different size pots for different sounds. You may also try different styles of utensils to find the one that are most comfortable holding.
After playing with the pots and pans, remember to show your toddler what it means to clean up. Help them see the importance of pickup after themselves. Even though they may not be able to do this on their own right away, your child will come to understand the concept. This will become part of the routine. Have fun and yes, get some ear plugs!
