So, I’m a Baby Boomer and am intrigued by the young pop singer, Taylor Swift. So far, she has behaved herself and has not had any missteps in terms of her clean-cut outlook and image. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders and has remained out of the tabloids in regards to no bad behavior and kept a sweet name for herself. Being a multimillionaire at only 25, this has been quite a feat for her as many other celebrities have crashed and burned after such fame.
Swift has played the game of life well so far. On her twenty-fifth birthday, she asked the media to give her the gift of truth as they reported about her. She’s had the nerve to be photographed with Kanye West even after he stole her moment in the sun as the top recording artist on her awards day and she’s done kind things for her fans and family.
During the holidays, she has spent real time and effort calling and giving gifts to random fans and calling it “Swiftmas”. To encourage those that follow her, she’s shown up at their homes with gifts and letters and to their dismay has paid for items to give them. It’s been fun watching the different things she’s done with her following.
Of course, she’s written love-hate songs to those guys who jilted her and moved right on along without skipping a beat but rather creating one. She been a class act thus far.
Swift invited the entire Delta Sigma fraternity brothers to her concert after they dubbed a “Shake It Off video. The video depicted them singing and dancing while mimicking her with the kindest regards. Her Tweet read as:
@taylorswift13
“I’m personally inviting all of these guys (and a date!) to a show on tour next year, it’s on me. Nailed it, bros! The video they created, fake-sung along to Swift’s “Shake It Off video” as they danced and carried on in their dorm. It was quite entertaining and Tay must have thought so as well.
Now, a bunch of high school students have asked Taylor Swift to save them from their final exams. Their high school teacher agreed to ax their finals if Swift would call the teacher at the school. The World History class teacher, Colter Pierce said that if he got a Tay call, he would cancel the final exam for the students. Apparently, he’s a real fan of Swift and has talked about her all year long. A sophomore, Ike Stoner wrote a contract on the board as a joke and the teacher actually signed it. A student posted the photo of it on his FB page and it went viral. When it got posted on Ashton Jaymes Goodell’s Facebook page, it took off and the rest is “Swiftory”! (history).
But can the teacher do this in reality? We shall see, if Tay Tay picks up the phone and gives the teacher a ring-a ding…
