So, you found out you are pregnant.  With mixed emotion, it’s  so exciting! In less than 9 months, you will be a mother to someone who cannot live without your help.

If this is your first child, all of it is new and different and hard to grasp but in fact, that precious baby will give you so much pleasure and joy it can not be explained. This journey of motherhood is unreal and one no can explain the journey but you’re going to experience it for yourself!

It  is all so exciting but there is a downside and although every pregnancy is different there are many commonalities and so I wanted to share  a few MUST-haves and suggestions for your pregnancy. These are things on the downside of this wonderful event that  I wish I had been told…

Thing I Wish Someone Had Told Me When I Was Pregnant!

1. Acid reflux – The acid reflux happen for me around the 5th month. It was no fun when I was laying in bed and everything wanted to come up. Ask your doctor what can be done for your situation if this occurs with you.

 2. Nylon panties – I recommend grabbing a size of panties larger than normal. While these stretch, they won’t give it the stretch that you need.  The larger  are super comfy when you are large and in charge but the smaller sizes ride below the baby and almost choke you!

3. Stretch Marks Are Real-Vitamin E oil and gel can help you.  You can pick this up at GNC and will work wonders with stretch marks. Also, ask your doctor about his recommendation as well.

4. The Need for Water-Drink  up to a gallon of water a day – Put gallon on counter as a reminder.

5. MiraLax – Start taking few days before due date and continue for 2 weeks after.(Of course, consult your doctor before taking any medication.)  It will be a life saver post delivery week.

6. Get Your Body Silky Smooth-  Hickory Ridge Organic – shower butter – This will make your body silky smooth and moist relieving that itchy feeling.
