When it is cold outside, all I can think about is hot chocolate. One sip of this velvety tasting goodness is all you need to warm up the body. But… doesn’t it always seem to taste better at a coffee shop or speciality cafe? Well, I have the perfect fix.
It’s not always about the brand you buy but the way you prepare it. Mom and I found that out this morning. We were searching for something to eat for breakfast and ended up with this goodness. It was such an “ah ha” moment, we decided to share our tip for preparing this drink with you.
Here are a few tips on great tasting hot cocoa without that high price. Serve this to your guests and have them asking, “What brand it is?”
Purchase any store brand of hot chocolate or cocoa packets. You will need the following:
Directions:
Combine one envelope of hot cocoa or hot chocolate with 3tbsp hot water. Stir rapidly until making a smooth paste. (Major key to success!)
Heat 8oz. of whole milk then add 1tbsp of melted chocolate. Combine all ingredients. Stir and add whipped cream.
For all of you coffee lovers out there: You can also pour a shot of dark roasted black coffee for that extra zing.
Enjoy my friend! Mom and I did!
