SisterDay

Ladies and Gentlemen, I’d like you to meet my very best friend and sister, “KristieMiss”.  We finish each others’ sentences and laugh at the same dry jokes!  We’re two peas in a pod!

Do you have a sibling? Isn’t it just wonderful! Kris is my younger sister by 47 months and 10 days. We are 2 peas in a pod for sure and have been from the get-go. We are polar opposites in a myriad of ways but so close you can’t squeeze in between us if you were oiled-up.

It feels like just yesterday I was pushing her down the stairs in that laundry basket at the home place. Having KristieMiss by my side my entire life has been so much fun. I can’t imagine not having my sister. Regardless of age, arguments or personal differences, this gal and I have remained close. I cannot help but thanking God every day for her.

As we have grown a bit, our lives have taken us on different paths. We now live almost one hour apart, have separate friends and schedules but our hearts remain true but due to space and time, finding time to spend together has been tough.

When I became pregnant in January 2013, I realized I needed my sister more than ever. Despite our schedule, distance and friends we had to make extra time for each other. That is when Sister-Day was created. Folks, what a great idea this was. Two years later my sister and I have Sister-Day every Tuesday.

If you are looking for special unforgettable moments with a lifetime of memories creating a special day for those special people in your life is a must.

Here are suggestion for keeping “Sister-Day” fresh and alive each time you meet.  Every month discuss things to do such as:

  • Shopping
  • Couponing
  • Day-trip out of town
  • Picnicking
  • Crafts
  • Volunteering
  • In-town sightseeing

There are so many things you can do to make the day special. Make sure to schedule your events ahead of time so you have a plan. Discuss and confirm events the day before. Prepare to meet at a certain time and location.

Enjoy your day with that special person.
