First of all. How about the black and white royal pic? Sixty Seven years ago that was the cats! Today, their photos are certainly all in color, of course!
Can you imagine 67 years married! It’s true. On the 20th of November, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip will have been married for over a half a century and counting. They were married on July 9, 1947 at Westminster Abbey. Other royals from other countries attended their wedding including those from Denmark, Greece, Norway and more. The streets were lined with commoners and she and Philip tied the knot in the same church where King Henry I married Princess Matilda a century before.
It was quite an occasion as Philip, given the title Duke of Edinburgh assumed the role of husband to the Queen of England.
With 8 bridesmaids and beautiful gowns with flowery headbands, the occasion was marked with the usual pomp and circumstance of the royal family. Normal to those occasions, streets were filled with well-wishers and those wanting to get a glimpse of the grandeur of royalty waited for hours on end.
