Networking When You’re Small

On the huge, vast and well-viewed news organizations this morning, famous folks visited, tweeted and were written about. Those news organizations were able to get some of the most famous and well-sought-out people to grace their set. Having those famous ones on their program brought them more fame and more money and yes, more influence.

Not so, with the small gnat-sized blogs or You Tube channels so, do not be down trodden. Do not be discouraged. Simply do what you can do to be heard, known and understood. Most importantly, realize that your faith impact has more weight behind it than any social media opportunity out there so certainly depend on that!

Below are 5 tips for getting your word out, linking to other’s pages and making a name for yourself in your own right after which you have put in place your true purpose of mission. (In other words, as you carry out your mission of faith forward.)

1. Blog or share some type of information every single day. DO NOT…I repeat DO NOT miss one day because often, one day leads to two which leads to three and so on. Write every single day or have some kind of presence on the world wide web.

2. Call or contact ONE person every single day or three times a week or weekly, about some type of cooperative effort. Whether you get them to respond to something you’re doing or whether you respond to some effort they are doing, have some reach-out daily.

3. Participate in some way, large or small in some online venture. Use tweeting, Facebook, Pinterest, or some other method but daily use social media to expand your reach.

4. Read and share something you have learned daily from your experiences. Everyone has an experience, even if it is a failed one and often, very often failed ones bring on the best result for future success.

5. Take someone to lunch or meet someone for lunch to discuss how the two of you or the group at hand could network for positive growth. There are others in your area who need networking too and what better way to share your efforts than to help them share theirs.

Happy Networking
