Are you kidding me… We now have a National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day which has been set for Friday, December 12, 2014. Although this is kind of cute lets be real. Style is super corky these days. People wearing over sized, non-prescription glass, men growing full beards during the month of November day, celebrities wearing raw meat for a dresses(GAGA!) and the list goes on…
Lets be honest, we really like the “ugly sweaters” and deep down want to wear them all season but for some reason, the fashion folks will not permit it so they came up with the “National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day”.

Well, now, you can strut your stuff in your Grandmothers (expensive in her day) sweater all day with pride. I bet even those Christmas “Bah! Humbug people” will get a little enjoyment out of this.
And you white collar corporate folks will join in too (despite the “button up grown up person you have become)! It’s going to be a day of fun and I would never want you to miss it.
So, get out the families’ Christmas ugly sweaters. If you do not have one visit your local thrift stores or get a hot glue gun and some Christmas decor and Bam- even you last minute non-planners can join in on the fun.
Do not forget to dress the kiddos for the occasion. Let’s rock this party together – Chicksdownsouth style!
