When my girls and I went to be a part of the Royal Wedding party in London in April of 2011 at the marriage of Prince Williams and Princess Kate, we noticed many along the Wedding party route dressed exquisitely . There were hats, faux wedding dresses, ascot outfits and more. From the colorful to the beautiful, the British went all out to welcome the wedding party.
According to the Buckingham Palace website, the Prince and Princess will visit America soon and based on their warning, American media personal should take lesson from the British Press if they plan on being in their presence. “No slobs allowed”! is the basic thoughts from those who schedule for the couple. Here is a paragraph from the Royal party about media wear:
“Journalists wishing to cover Royal engagements, whether in the United Kingdom or abroad, should comply with the dress code on formal occasions out of respect for the guests of The Queen, or any other member of the Royal Family. Smart attire for men includes the wearing of a jacket and tie, and for women a trouser or skirt suit. Those wearing jeans or trainers will not be admitted and casually dressed members of the media will be turned away. This also applies to technicians.“
If they come our way, I’m going to unpack my outfit from the wedding in 2011. I’ll let you know if I get photos..
LOL
