Yesterday I was going to visit family in South Florida and wanted to carry a few nice treats along so I knew the perfect place to buy them- The Fresh Market.
The Fresh Market is an upscale grocery store in an upscale neighborhood down the road from me. It’s just off of the St. Johns River so mostly elite shoppers can be seen in and out of its automatic doors.
If ever there was a grand place to shop, it’s the Fresh Market. Everything there is lovely, it smells like a restaurant, provides free coffee to shoppers and at every turn there is a small area to taste the latest offerings.
In the store there are open glass cases at every turn with the most delicious looking meats, mixed foods, salads and desserts. And speaking of desserts, there are cookies, sweet breads and various delectable items for purchase. Many of these are very unique and items that cannot be found elsewhere.
The downside to the Fresh Market is that it truly is for the wealthy as prices are high and when you walk out with a small bag you feel as if you’ve been taxed by the IRS! If you can afford shopping there however, it’s such a pleasure!
The presentation of every single item matters. Everything in the store is unique to The Fresh Market. The very way items sit on the shelves, and actually, the shelves themselves are neat and tidy. Candy is in barrels and you get your own and the amount you want using a scooper and clear bag with tag. I fill my bags full to the top!
Going to the Fresh Market makes me think about myself and how I present. I could be a better job in my life. What about you?
