Gee 2016 came quickly!
Last year, my oldest daughter and I went a little “cray- cray” with the New Year’s resolutions. We did! We had this big, huge, gargantuous plan to do all of these great and wonderful things and we did really great until the 2nd day!
It was a huge flop by the 3rd month so this year, I’m sticking to a couple of general resolutions for the new year:
1. Be a better friend.
Okay so what will it take to be a better friend? Well, I can call my friends more often and if I don’t want to call, I can write or text or email. Too visiting might be a good option. If’ they’ll see me! Ha!
2. Concentrate more on helping my children on things they really need help with.
Sometimes I see that helping my children is like helping myself. I want to do this or that or such and such and so I help and get to … whatever. So, this year, I am going to make a conscious effort to try to do things they “they” need done and I’ll go along for the ride.
3. Continue to blog daily.
This may seem easy but life happens so I am still going to have life happen but I’m going to focus on at least a blog a day. I can do it. I can do it. I can do it!
4. Categorize my digital photos some. ( Notice I put some so if I do a dozen, that’s “some”). Aren’t I clever?
5. Continue to seek God’s Truths and His will for my life. This is similar to helping my children on their tasks. I tend to want to do my thing with God but this year, I want to focus on doing “His” thing for my life. I’ll keep you posted.
I hope you’re not a humbug person about New Year’s resolutions. Just do them. It’s fun and it’s something to focus on in the new year.
