Oh how I adore handmade crafts and then to create them from my own back yard makes them oh, so special.
Today when hubby came home from work, I immediately was asking for assistance in the Christmas handcraft project. I knew he was probably tired but he willingly got the huge ladder and headed out to the evergreen tree to get some needed fir for the craft.
In no time, the weaving of greenery was a reality and soon, our mini wreath Christmas cards were in the making.
You can so easily create such handcrafted beauty. It will not only impress yourself but all your friends and family with this years’ Christmas card being made from the fragrance and leaves of your own tree or perhaps a neighbors.(With permission, of course). Its super easy to make and the greenery you can grab from your local area. While we used an evergreen, you could use other green stock from the yard. Be creative and most of all, have fun!
Here is the scoop:
mini wreath supplies
card stock (size is up to you)
green (I used evergreen but you can use rosemary, boxwood or azaleas)
florist wire
scissors
ribbon
twine
Directions:
make a wire circle (you might need to use a few pieces of wire)
cut small pieces of green off
twist the green around the mini wreath until you cover all the wire
use extra wire to secure around wreath
Clip green to shape if you would like
on card stock punch two hole close together at top
attach wreath by tying twine in rear of card (cut off extra)
tie bow at top of wreath
these super crafty elegant mini wreaths will be perfect hanging on any tree or in a cubicle.
