Finding God’s Will For Your Life

George Mueller was the founder of many orphanages in Europe in the 1800’s. He was determined to pray and ask God’s will to provide for them. In seeking God’s will here were his factors:

1. Have no will of my own but God’s which is the majority of the battle. God’s will and God’s alone.

2. Leave nothing to “feeling” but a headlong determination that God’s will be done.

3. Using God’s Word, I seek His will. He would read God’s Word and with the Spirit in him move toward God’s way. He said he would do according to what God’s Word said and that way he would not go against God’s Word.

4. He said that he did not confirm events with circumstance. He simply relied on God’s Word and what it said and the Spirit inside of him to move and make decisions.

5. Asking God in prayer that His will be done was first and foremost for Mueller. “God, please reveal yourself and your will to me”, he would say.

6. Through prayer, requests, the study of God’s Word he would make decisions and then proceed.

We each have a mission field. God wants us to do His will in our area of influence. I recommend Mueller’s steps for finding God’s will.

•No Will But God’s
•Leave Nothing to Feeling
•Use God’s Word and His Spirit
•Do Not Depend on Circumstance
•Ask God in Prayer to Reveal Himself
•Pray, Request, Study and Proceed

Have a great life in Christ-

Josie
