Fall Celebrations-Stay Away from the Devil- You have been warned!

This is written from the perspective of a Floridian. It’s written in October when we are still having days in the 80’s on occasion but our fall is definitely beginning to kick in and yes, we do have “some” trees that change their leaves!

This is such a wonderful time of year. The air is fresh. The breeze is cool. The sun is just right. The wind feels just cool enough to go without a jacket. We’re still going to garage sales on Fridays and Saturdays and boating and outside activities are still a part of every weekend’s events.

What is occurring here in our Great State of Florida more and more and is of serious concern regarding the amount of occultic-type scenery surrounding the fall season. From graveyard decorations in yards to ghosts hanging from trees, this promotion of evil activity is growing and the corporate financial end is benefiting in a great way. To some it may appear innocent, but rest assured, it is serious business spiritually.

Where in the past, we might see a nice display of pine cones, a bale of hay and stuffed scare crows, now full yards display grave stones and frightening scenes including even blood and gore. This is a travesty and Christians should not participate in the evil of this activity.

Beware dear friend. God is not the author of fear. He is not about promoting “things that people do in the dark” and most importantly, putting this type things in and about one’s homes could be, in simple terms, inviting Satan to your abode.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! Psalm 111:10

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” Romans 8:15

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? Psalm 56: 3

“Fear is born of Satan, and if we would only take time to think a moment we would see that everything Satan says is founded upon a falsehood.” ~ A. B. Simpson

Why would anyone offer fear to a child? Instead, offer love, peace, joy and long-suffering. Offer a wonderful fall and great events that would promote happiness and positive growth.

Happy Fall Everyone and for sure- stay way from the Devil because he’s no joke.
