Embarrassing, but I Got My Photo Taken by the Gate of the Richest Guy in the World!

Well, actually, I’m not embarrassed at all! I had a marvelous time stalking out the home, finding the road and then unabashed, got my pic taken right there in front of the billionaire’s gate! (Hint…. Gate). When I went to Seattle some years ago, I knew before stepping on that plane that I was going to look up Bill Gates. I was going to be in his city, on his street and certainly, I was interested in seeing what the digs of the richest guy in the world looked like. So I did. Not only did I take the scenic tour; the boat that rides past his house, but I literally found the abode where he has a heated pool, huge underground parking facilities and other incredible rich toys. (The house address is not in the phonebook! Maybe I missed my calling not being a sleuth! Ha!)

But my point in this writing is really not to write about Gates at all but to say that even the richest guy in the world, Bill Gates has projects dear to him. He and his wife Melinda want to help rid the world of disease and spent millions and millions of dollars on helping eradicate the worst sicknesses. And, in simple things, at Christmas, he played “Secret Santa” and sent a gift to someone he did not even know. Too, he has children dear to his heart and is known to have projects to help them in their success.  Finally,  his real love in life appears to be his wife, Melinda for whom he tears up when talking about.

Billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg wants to provide internet to those in other countries that cannot afford it or get it. Too, he has projects in which he cares about like learning Mandarin as his wife is Chinese and writing special people in the world a handwritten note.

Taylor Swift, the popular singer has taken on “Swiftmas” and during the Christmas season sends gifts to random fans with handwritten letters.

My passion is help the less fortunate with clothing, furniture, dental work and telling them during that help about Jesus and His hope for them.  We all need Jesus-rich or poor.   This month, I’ve written some twenty-two letters to important people in my life. (Idea from Zuckerberg- thanks man!)  (9 more to go this mo.)

What is your passion? What is your love? What accomplishments would you like to tackle? Go for it with gusto!
