You just can’t get away with it forever!
Busted! You just can’t get away with it forever! You can’t. Things can bump along for a time but yes, in “time”, you’re going to get busted!

This past month, I bought a new-to-me car. The last thing the lady said before I drove off with the car was, “Oh, be careful of your speed, it will get away with you”. The next day, I had the car registered in my name and traveled on the nearby expressway to find a cop pointing at me from the highway side of the road to pull over and then he wrote me a speeding ticket.

I can’t tell you how many times I have sped down that highway but on that day, I was “busted!”

That is a truth for us all. Each of us must understand that when we do what is wrong, whatever that might be in our lives, it will last for a “time” but before long, it will catch up with us with and we will pay the piper as they say.

God is our plumb line. It is in Him that we can rest assured that all will go well in our lives. He is our hope, our strength, our refuge in times of trouble. To avoid doing what is wrong, we live in His shadow. The Bible so aptly says for us to live in the “shadow of the Almighty”. Living in God’s shadow, we will have no troubles that befall us that God will not help us with.

I’m wondering about you. Are you living in Him? Are you seeking to find God and then living for His sake. He will protect you. He will bless you. He will take you places far beyond what you’d ever imagine.

While we could live in a “busted” and defeated life, He will bring about greatness far beyond measure. In fact, we can’t get away with wrong-doing for long because we will get “ busted”. I hope you’ll trust God today. He has a full and complete life ahead for you.
