If you like brussels sprouts and if you enjoy red pepper, you’re in business. This recipe was adapted from The American Profile.com recipe by Patricia Boileau of Arvada, Colo. I must say, Brussels sprouts are not my favorite and I’m not a real fan of sesame seeds so right off there were 2 strikes against this recipe.
But, I tried it and found it to be pretty good.
I adapted the recipe before cooking it . Here it is so that you might give her a go.
Brussels Sprouts Recipe Baked in Olive Oil Mix
1 lb. fresh Brussels sprouts 1/4 tsp salt
3 tbsp olive oil 1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp sesame seed 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Preheat oven to 375F. Trim ends of Brussels sprouts. Dice. Mix ingredients into big bowl with diced Brussels sprouts. Toss well. Place Brussels sprouts on flat pan with rim and bake 10 minutes then flip and bake another 10 min.(total -20 min).
Brussels sprouts will turn out browned and a little blackened with olive oil, sesame, pepper flavor. Serves 4-5.
