“Ah Whooo! You’re In Trouble…”

Do you remember when we were kids and we did something that another person caught us doing wrong?  In that instance, he or she might say with a sing-song voice, “Ah Whooo! You’re In Trouble.”

Well, in truth, we’re all in trouble!   “Ah Whooo!”

In fact, we’re living in a fallen world. The world system itself is beating the loud drum to leave God out of everything and therein lies our trouble.

God is essential to our happiness, to our completeness, to our well-being and our eternal existence. He is the Creator of all of the universe. He is the designer of man. He knows our hearts, our thoughts and our intent.  Jesus said, “I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.”

In darkness, there is trouble because we can’t see our paths clearly but in light there is clarity and our paths are clear and obvious.

Truly, we are sinners. We do what is wrong but our ultimate goal is to allow Christ to live in us, giving us the “light” to avoid the dark paths. To have God in our lives, we must trust Christ for Jesus said,  “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

So, the next time you do something wrong, caught in it or not, just remember: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” and keep in mind this scripture in Titus: “Training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age”.  With that… no more “Ah Whooo!” but “Ah Ha!”
