For those who really want to save money, here are 7 tips to help you:
1. Get excited about the sales to come the day after Christmas because it’s going to be sooooo fun shopping!
2. Get online and also be sure to scour the newspapers for where the deals will be for the Friday after Christmas. You may have already seen some “sale” racks being prepared at your favorite stores. Prepare to meet your sale racks!
3. Create a List– Do not dare go to the sales flying by the seat of your pants! Pencil in the top choice of sale shopping down to the last. Include lunch in that schedule!
4. Set a time and pay attention to the ads and times for each store. They will vary. Get up bright and early and be there at the appointed time OR you will miss the discounts! (How disappointing!)
5. HUGE TIP- ALL of the items that have Christmas and holiday symbols on them will be for sale. For example, all of your tin foils, hand creams, Debbie Cakes and those expensive type items will be on sale because of the Christmas and holiday packaging so be sure to check out your grocery store area to get a huge discount on those expensive kitchen items.
6. Set your budget on what you will spend. There is no reason to break the bank!
7. Take a friend who likes to shop ’til they drop. Don’t take anyone who doesn’t spend money! Don’t take anyone who wants to sit in the atrium while you shop “unless” they have a book or enjoy piddling with their phone for hours! This is a momentous occasion so you must be serious and have serious shopping buddies.
Have fun and go out there a save some money, ya’ll!
