When your baby is sick, your heart is hurting. He or she is running a fever or coughing non-stop. It’s hard to take it and there seems to be nothing that you can do.
My heartbreaks every time my little-one is ill. Just last week he was so sick and I was scrambling to find things to make his life easier. When we are sick we always request the same things – comfort foods and medicine. My mother always came with: soup, Gatorade, Theraflu, saltine crackers that comfy blanket. Our children are the same way… I found these things to be a HUGE help when they have that runny nose and cold:
1. Gentle Vapors plug-in unit
Plug-in unit with a night light. You can use with paper pads while your child is sick or remove and discard the pad and just use for a night light.
2. Pedia Care Gentle Vapors
This awesome insert with menthol, eucalyptus and lavender will comfort your little lovie during those far and between resting moments
3. Lysol disinfecting wipes
Make sure to wipe down all communal surfaces every few hours. This includes and not limited to doorknobs, tablets, counter tops, remotes, the toilet flusher, tables, hand-held devices and anything else you think of.
4. Rubbing alcohol
Mix up one part rubbing alcohol to one part water, and bam you have the best disinfectant on the market. Please remember the fumes are flammable, DO NOT USE on your oven or toaster.
5. NoseFrida the sucker
I know this seems a little strange but IT WORKS and simple to use. Drop or two of saline solution in each nostril will help loosen thick mucus before using Nosefrida. It’s easy to clean and the filter prevents the transfer of sickness. This item does not go in the nose – which I prefer. It is also non-allergenic, latex-free.
6. Pedialyte
This replaces electrolytes and help prevent dehydration. It replaces replenishes zinc.
7. Lysol disinfectant spray
Germs are everywhere and spreading fast. Keeping Lysol spray on hand to use throughout the the home daily. With daily use, you’ll eliminate harmful bacteria helping you achieve a fresh, healthy home.
Also remember :
Shared towels or cups are an easy way for germs to spread.
Try opening your windows to some fresh air in your home – even if it’s chilly outside. The sun is a great sanitizer. Your windows are designed to block out the most of the UV rays therefore sit in the sunlight as much as you can.
Get that sick baby well! All my love and prayers.
