I guess we’ve all, at some time or another, experienced knots in our stomach and worries that we can’t seem to control. There are times in our lives that things happen or have happened in the past that bring about thoughts of dread, worry or concern. Some people call it anxiety and others depression but what ever you call it, rest assured that someone greater than you and me has it all under control.
And it is important to note. There is NOTHING that you or I have done that God will not forgive EXCEPT rejecting the Holy Spirit. So, there is no sin that you or I have committed that would keep us from the love of God. As Corrie ten Boom put it: “There is no pit so deep that God is not deeper still”. So, we call on HIM to forgive us and we are clean and clear.
The greatest manuscript ever written and THE book that has literally changed the world tells us that our relationship with God is greater than anything of concern in our lives. This manuscript, the Bible is literally “God’s Word” to us. In other words, it is a book that when read, allows us to hear the Creator of the universe speak in our ears and hearts. When we take God’s Word into our lives, we can be certain that God will speak such that we have no need for knots in our stomach or a heavy heart for “he cares for us”.
NO worries my friend. Trust in HIM who loves you. Do not let the devil have his way with your mind and heart. Give your mind to God and allow HIM to fill it with all good and righteous things. Ask God for forgiveness of things done wrong. As the writer once said, “to err is human” so we all make mistakes. The beauty of God is that HE FORGIVES and then gives forth!
