5 Things To ABSOLUTELY Do on Facebook

s-1Are you aware that Facebook hosts billions of posts at this point?  Yes, that is with a “b”…billions!  Literally  hundreds of thousands of hours are being spent on this one social media platform. You may be one who logs in every single day.  If you are, then you’re a candidate for wonderful behavior!

“Wonderful behavior?”  You may ask.  Yes!  While we know there are many devious things that go on in this world of cyberspace, Facebook is one platform where the wonders of life can be posted, realized, reposted, liked and posted again and again.  Your wonderful life can have a “life and a like” of it’s own,  and here’s how:

1.  Be true to self when posting.  Who are you?  Post YOU.  We will all love who you are! If you’re funny, post those funny things that delight you. If you’re serious, post those thought-provoking things. By all means though, be YOU!

2.  Be mindful of others and who they are.  Each of us are unique with personalities developed and designed by God.  Not everyone is funny.  Not everyone is a cook.  Not everyone is thought-provoking.  Not everyone is serious. Not everyone is creative. Not everyone is an artist.  Not everyone is …….you fill in the blank.  It takes all of us to run this universe in which we all are participating. So, if we will all be who we really are, the whole world will be a wonder!

3.  If you can’t say something nice, at least be careful in what you say.  I know, I was supposed to say, “Say nothing at all” but I just couldn’t say that not in the day in which we live.    Sometimes, we have to stand and with this new media, mothers now are saying “Stand Up” and be counted so sometimes we must stand.  We just have to be gracious as best we can. And, truly, maybe to speak the truth may be better than using social media. This is your call. (literally).

4.  Always keep your friends on Facebook.  Yes, I know.  Maybe you’ve been hurt by someone or your strong views are completely different from another person you know with equally as strong feelings but it’s like your children- No matter what they do, you love them just the same so you CAN keep the home lights burning to continue your influence. If you close them out- NO possible way to impact.

5.  Try to offer things on Faceback that move lives forward in a positive way.  You’re a teacher in your own right.  You’re offering tips, ideas and perhaps thought-provoking methods that can indeed change someone’s life for real and in real time.  Go do it! Provide wonder for the masses!
