The Holy Bible, God’s Word for the Ages

Really, life is a mystery. When you think about it, here we are a bunch of thinking heads going about doing what we think to do but who’s to say who is right or wrong in what is done. Is your way or my way right? And, who am I? What am I here for? What is my purpose in life? Who will I be?

Well, for sure, the choices I make will definitely determine who I am and what I will become in my future.

Clarence Larkin, the author of “Rightly Dividing the Word” says that our lives all depend on one thing, our obedience to God’s Word and in that right from wrong will be worked out in our lives as we give allegiance to God. He writes that the Word of God is our only hope and the complete answer to our futures. “ The Holy Scriptures(Bible) are not a systematic treatise on theology, history, science or any other topic. They are a revelation from God of His plan and purpose in the ages as to the earth and the human race.”

We are God’s very heart and we must live Him out. We must seek His will for our lives. We must focus our lives on His will for what we will do. It is by His hand that we have all that we have. He has been the provider for us all. The Bible is clear that he blesses those who do His will and those who do not for the Word says, “it rains on the just and the unjust”.

But God hears our requests for the Word also says, “Let our request be known to God” and so we know that He wants to bless us as we make our requests known.

So, as we ponder the question of “Who are we?” Let us ask also, What does God expect of us? If we can do God’s work, that will answer who we are. It will be in that frame that our lives are complete. As we read the Bible, listen to Biblical sermons, lessons and studies on You Tube for example, we can grow our faith and work out our salvation as the apostle Paul suggested. It does not happen over night. We don’t all of the sudden know who we are. We are working out our faith every day as we choose to pick the cross and follow Christ.

Who are you? Read God’s Word, the Bible today and find out.
