Keep Christ In YOU All Year Long

We’ve heard a lot about “ Keep Christ in Christmas”. There has been rumor this season that there is a war on Christmas and there is. There has been a war on Christ since the beginning of time and will continue until Christ comes again to set up His Kingdom.

Our most important task though, I have realized is not to worry about the war on Christmas so much such as to worry about my faithfulness to live out the Gospel of Christ.

God expects of us to live out His Word in our lives and each person of faith has been given the strength and power to do this.

Here are a few scriptures to hang on in order to live out your faith as this year goes into the next.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:1

For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. 1 Peter 2;21

Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. Romans 13:13

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.Ephesians 5:1-2

So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:1-30

What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9

I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew 12:36-37
