Jacksonville is home to several fantastic markets and one is the Farmer’s Market near downtown Jacksonville. It’s a familiar spot where local farmers sell their fresh vegetables and produce.  It is known as “Florida’s oldest farmer’s market”. It’s the Farmer’s Market at it’s best!

Buying local is the hip-thing these days.  With many  choices shoppers can compare and buy the best deals.  At the farmer’s market the shoppers can decide how to get the best bang for their buck. I suggest trying this “oldest outdoor farmers market in Florida” or the one in your own back yard!  Most all cities and towns have a farmer’s market.

And, if you haven’t eaten, no worries, Andy’s Farmers Market Grill will fill you up. They offer breakfast, lunch, or a snack to enjoy while browsing the market. If you have a little one like me, its a mini field trip. My husband and I spent time explaining the fruits, letting him taste and decide if he liked the taste. And if you’re like me, you’ll bring along an extra shirt and a few wipes for the juicy items.  Yes, we had to make that change!
