#write 31days- Day 20

One or both parents in common would make one a sibling. In a general sense, siblings are raised in the same home.  God put the family together as a unit and although for various reasons  this is not the case, it is still the goal for families.   Even when siblings are raised separately and many times with people other than their parents, they are still siblings.  Even when children who are brothers and sisters do not find themselves in the same living family, they remain siblings by birth and if possible join and unite in order to help each other develop.

Siblings can make a brother or sister proud, can be of great assistance one to another or can help literally shape the lives of each other. God intended for a family to grow together, love one another and be a part of each others lives. His desire has been that each person have life and have it abundantly. This would include the relationships in the home and family.  Of course, when this is not possible then one must ask God how to go forward given the circumstances.  But, if at all possible, families should do what is possible to grow in grace together.

Brothers and sisters should desire to develop a bond of strength, and honor. The older siblings might take the lead being the older and wiser. The younger may be of assistance being the younger and able.

In whatever situation God has placed you, take it seriously in a way that would bring honor to God.  Sometimes families blend with other families.  While these blended families are not blood siblings, they often become a unit and God must be consulted in order to bring harmony to each situation.  The Bible is clear that God can assist in all of our relationships.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
