I know it is spring in the USA.  Here in Florida specifically, we are already celebrating the warmth of summer days ahead. Temperatures  yesterday were in the eighties and we have enjoyed every moment. Last summer our lil’ guy wasn’t walking but crawling and face planting into all that sand which was no fun for any of us. I am a beach goer but quickly learned my days at the beach were limited and short-lived. This year, Sweetie-pie is a full blown walking machine. Our beach days are still short-lived but seem a tad bit easier and longer.

Packing the car, readying for the beach yesterday was a chore. The days of jumping in the car with a towel and rolling out are O V E R.   A trip to the beach these days requires pre-planning and a beach day checklist to insure a nonstop ride to our final destination. I handed DanielBoy the list for him to go over while I finished getting dressed. After looking over the list he questioned why we were bring baby powder to the beach and I giggled and said, “you will soon find out”.

Have you been to the beach with your sweet tater yet? Well, if you have then you know how much they love to play, throw, dig even eat the sand. While this is fun to watch, video and take tons of photographs, it is not really fun for them nor is it fun to clean off of them. The water this time of the year is supper cold and so rinsing off is really not an option. Luckily, I had a solution; baby power. I know this seems odd but this wonderful white fluffiness is a miracle worker on a beach day.   Just shake a little baby powder on your child’s hands, legs, arms and chest and the sand easily wipes off. It’s as simple as that. Your child will be sand free.

This trick is especially wonderful at the end of the day before you load them in the car seat.  While they look all sandy and sticky, you just brush and dust off the sand if you’ve used baby powder as described.

Happy Beach Days!
